Swami Veda Bharati will bring his Himalayan Yoga Tradition Academy and his highly acclaimed international faculty to Saint Paul, Minnesota to lead this spiritually inspiring event. This year’s Congress, “Transitions: Preparing to Receive from Silence" will commence with a Silence Retreat at the University of St Thomas on July 1.
A celebration of Guru Purnima (July Full-Moon) hosted by TMC and Swami Veda on July 3 will be one of the Congress's highlights. The July Full-Moon is a special day for celebrating the Guru. Guru is a universal force of light and love within each of us, always available to help correct our ignorance. True silence can be realized by skillfully reflecting that light of Guru in all our actions. This year’s Congress will be Swami Veda's last public appearance before entering his vow of 5-7 years of Silence in March 2013 in Rishikesh, India. Please make your plans to join us. Swamiji has much to share to prepare and transition students to receive the Himalayan Tradition's teachings internally through the Grace of the Lineage. In keeping with the Congress theme, Swami Veda’s Himalayan Yoga Tradition Academy will be offering four events for those wishing to deepen their knowledge and skill. The first two retreats are an integral part of our Yoga Alliance (YA) certified Teacher Training Program (HYT-TTP). The next two retreats offer YA Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for registered Yoga Teachers. This style utilizes a process of gradual relaxation of effort and breath awareness as the practitioner’s flow of attention gently moves from physical to pranic to meditative. The practitioner uncovers a new depth of self-knowledge, vitality and self-purification. These workshops are designed for Yoga Teachers wishing to both deepen their personal yoga practice and enhance their yoga teaching skills. They provide Yoga Alliance continuing education units (CEUs) and provide credits for the Yoga Alliance Registered HYT Teacher Training Programs. Click here to register for Prana Vidya I.
