The following retreats and programs, taught by a roster of internationally known teachers, will support your goals to:

  • Improve your ability to teach others.
  • Earn your 200-Hour or 600-Hour Yoga Alliance (YA) certified Teaching Diploma.
  • Gain YA Continuing Education credits.


Himalayan Yoga Tradition Retreats and Programs

The Himalayan Yoga Tradition-Teacher Training Program (HYT-TTP) provides a multifaceted, comprehensive approach to self-realization in the authentic tradition of Swami Rama of the Himalayas. 

This year's Evening Program Series (July 21 - Aug 1, 2014) titled "Conversations with yogis" will be open to the general public and will highlight our guest yogis: Dr. Phil Nuernberger, Swami Jaidev Bharati (Dr. Justin O’Brien), Charles Crenshaw, Dr. Leonard Perlmutter (Ram Lev), and HYT-TTP Faculty: Peter Fabian, Randall Krause, Chuck Linke, Dr. Stephen Parker (Stoma), Michael Smith, and Jim Nelson.  For schedule, fees, and dates, click here.

To join the Summer 2014 Level One and Level Two Teacher Training Retreats, students must first be accepted into the Program.  To learn more about the HYT-TTP Program and to apply, click here. 

All HYT students, graduates, mentors and initiates are invited to join the Weekend Study Retreat and all Yoga and Meditation Teachers are invited to join the Prana Vidya Retreats

HYT-TTP is a registered Yoga Alliance (YA) school which provides a 200-Hour and a 600-Hour Teacher Training program; as well as YA Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for HYT-TTP events.

HYT-TTP Level One Retreat: July 20 - August 3, 2014

For students newly accepted into HYT-TTP, this two-week retreat is an immersion into a unique, integrated approach to self-transformation and teaching.  This is the introductory retreat for both the HYT 200-Hour and the HYT 600-Hour program.

HYT-TTP Level Two Retreat: July 20 - August 3, 2014

For students that have completed the HYT-TTP Level One and have been promoted to   HYT-TTP 600-Hour Level Two,  this two-week  immersive experience deepens participants' self-transformation and understanding of the ancient wisdom of the Himalayan tradition.   This is also for HYT-TTP Continuing Studies students that have previously attended a HYT-TTP Level One retreat.

HYT-TTP Study Weekend Retreat: July 25 - July 27, 2014

For all students, graduates and mentors enrolled and participating in HYT-TTP,  this weekend retreat is your opportunity for dedicated study time away from the demands of home life.   This flexible retreat provides the option for you to attend any or all aspects of the Ashram schedule.   Additionally, a Wi-Fi equipped meeting room will be available to you in the mornings and afternoons to study and consult with fellow students, mentors and faculty.  Take these two days to be with your HYT-TTP family and to reignite your journey toward Self-transformation.

Continuing Education for Yoga and Meditation Teachers of all Traditions

Deepen your practice and earn Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Units (CEUs) by exploring the theory, practice and teaching of Prana-Vidya , the Himalayan Yoga tradition 's style of Hatha yoga.  Prana-Vidya Hatha Yoga emphasizes the meditative and subtle-body aspects of asana practice.  Sign up for one or both of our one-week retreats.  For a 14-day retreat include the Study Weekend Retreat.
