Swami Jaidev Bharati (Dr. Justin O’Brien) is Co-Director of the Institute of the Himalayan Tradition of St. Paul. In 1972 he met his Guru, Swami Rama of the Himalayas, while on the faculty at Loyola University of Chicago. He helped Swamiji establish the Himalayan Institute in Illinois and Pennsylvania and its graduate school. He assisted with International Yoga conferences in England, Japan, India. Nepal, and the States. He holds a Doctoral degree in the Philosophy of Consciousness, a Doctorandus in Theology, Masters degrees in Philosophy and Religious Studies, and Fellow certified Hypnotherapist. He was Senior Reserach Fellow in Holistic Medicine at the University of London Medical School, Director of Education at London’s Marylebone Health Clinic, and Professor of Philosophy at the University of Minnesota Graduate school. He took vows of renunciation on the banks of the Ganges River in 1999. He is author of Walking with a Himalayan Master, The Wellness Tree, Superconscious Meditation, Running and Breathing, A Meeting of Mystic Paths, and numerous articles.

Charles B. Crenshaw Jr., M.S., M.Div.W., initiated by Sri Swami Rama, attended the graduate school Swamiji founded. His professors during his grad work in Eastern Studies/Comparative Psychology/Holistic Health included Usharbudh Arya, D.Litt (aka Swami Veda Bharati), H. David Coulter, Ph.D., and Rudolph Ballentine, M.D., amongst other notables. Charles was the co-director of the Himalayan Institute of New York City from 1986 to 1994. He is an ordained interfaith minister, and co-founder and co-director of the Inner Peace Yoga Center - Indianapolis, a 501 C3 non-profit educational organization that teaches yoga science, inspired by Swami Rama. He is the Indianapolis Examiner for Religion/Spirituality/Meditation for the internet news source Examiner.com, is on the faculty of the University of Phoenix College of Humanities and Sciences where he teaches courses in Eastern Religions and Philosophy. Charles has been on the path since 1974. He is the author of Pathless Path: God, Grace, Guru; and contributing author of The Clinical EFT Handbook.

"Improving Sadhana by Healing the Pranic Sheath". This workshop and practicum will involve the subtle energy tools of breath, and energy psychology (Note: Jerry, Jerry, and Swami Veda Bharati's Chariots of Sadhana) and more to show you ways to deepen your meditation practice and improve your life by establishing the emotional stability that Swami Veda has been talking to us and teaching us about all these years.

Phil Nuernberger, Ph.D. is a direct disciple of H.H.Sri Swami Rama and was personally trained by Swamiji since 1970. Studying with Swamiji in the Himalayas in India and Nepal, Dr. Nuernberger is one of the few Americans to receive initiation by Swami Rama into the highest levels of the tantric tradition of the Himalayan Sages. With his Master’s instruction and blessing, Dr. Nuernberger has been teaching and initiating others in this tradition since 1972.

Beginning in 1970, he was instrumental in helping Swamiji build the Himalayan Institute, and served on its Board of Directors and as Senior Faculty member until 1992. At Swamiji’s suggestion, Dr. Nuernberger also studied Washin Ryu karate with Sensei Hidi Ochiai, a Japanese Samuarai, and achieved black belt ranking. Dr. Nuernberger is author of six books. The most recent is Freedom’s Path: The Dancing Soul. Other recent books include The Warrior Sage: Life as Spirit, Strong and Fearless: The Quest for Personal Power, and From Loneliness to Love: A Journey of Spritual Awakening. Dr. Nuernberger is President of Strategic Intelligence Skills, serves as adjunct faculty at the Wharton School of Business' Aresty Institute at the Univ. of Penn. and is Co-Director of the Center at Rock Ledge. Active in teaching the tradition of the Himalayan Sages, he teaches at meditation centers across the United States and holds yearly retreats in the mountains of Montana. His focus is on the science of Yoga, and in particular, the Sri Vidya tradition.

Leonard Perlmutter (Ram Lev) is a noted educator and founder of The American Meditation Institute. He is the author of The Heart and Science of Yoga: A Blueprint for Peace, Happiness and Freedom from Fear,™ and Transformation, the journal of meditation as mind/body medicine. Leonard has served on the faculties of the New England Institute of Ayurvedic Medicine and the College of Saint Rose. He is a direct disciple of Swami Rama and has presented courses on Yoga Science at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, the Albany Medical College, The United States Military Academy West Point, and The New York Times Yoga Forum with Dean Ornish, MD. His Heart and Science of Yoga™ curriculum is accredited by the American Medical Association, American Psychological Association, and American Nurses Association for healthcare professionals to receive medical education credit.
